Visas and migration

All non-Australian citizens, except New Zealand citizens, travelling to Australia require an eVisitor, an electronic travel authority (ETA) or a visa.

In connection with the visa application, the applicant may be required to undergo a medical examination. The medical examination must be completed by one of the approved panel doctors.

The Australian Embassy in Copenhagen does not issue visas. Visas are issued online or through the Australian Embassy in Berlin. You are welcome to contact the Australian Embassy in Berlin for further details. See a list of frequently asked questions (FAQS) and contact details here.

The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship also has further information about fees, health requirements and other FAQS.

eVisitor/ETA/Tourist visa

eVisitor

If you hold a Danish, Norwegian or an Icelandic passport, you are eligible to apply online for an eVisitor. An eVisitor is valid for multiple visists within 12 months from the date of issue, though the maximum length of each visit may not exceed 3 months.

More information about an eVisitor can be found here.

ETA

If you hold a Danish, Norwegian or an Icelandic passport, you are eligible for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority).
